Sir James and Lady Galway invite you to participate in their annual International Flute Masterclass in the beautiful lakeside town of Weggis, Switzerland. This unique opportunity to participate in 7 Days with ‘The Master of the Flute’ includes daily warm-ups and personal masterclasses focusing on all aspects of flute playing with emphasis on studies, recital and concerto repertoire.
Alongside Sir James’ classes, Lady Jeanne Galway holds open classes each afternoon. The focus is on Auditors, who will have a chance to perform and be coached by Lady Galway with a pianist. Evenings will be filled with concerts by renowned international flutists, including a recital by Sir James & Lady Galway.
There will be a flute choir rehearsal every day in preparation for the grand finale concert on Friday. The flute choir is open to all students.
One afternoon will be devoted to a variety of workshops open to all by distinguished guest artists in their area of expertise.
Once again, The Masterclass will be held at the Stella Matutina in Hertenstein near Weggis, complete with accommodation and meals.
